Fridge TVs taking off
LG likes mixing products and when you’ve committed to
embracing the whole digital home lifestyle, why exclude the kitchen? LG started
the whole fridge/TV/Internet mutation experiment back in 2002 and its latest
creation is a sight to behold. At £2,400 it’s a lot for a 13.1in LCD TV with a
fridge attached but, apparently, some people think food is important. Although
we have lost the Net capabilities with the GRG217BTJA, there is now the
ability to hook up a DVD or VCR. It also sports an in-door water tank and LG’s Miracle Zone –
a drawer where you can control the temperature separately from the rest of the
fridge. One word of warning though – if you plan to hook anything up to this brute you
better do it while the movers are in because it measures 6ft x 3ft and weighs
in at a back-breaking 153Kg (340lbs).
