Yamaha’s latest one-speaker surround wizard
Whereas the YSP-1 sported 42
digital amplifiers powering 40 speakers – all firing in different directions to
create a unified surround sound field - the YSP-800 boasts 23 digital amplifiers
powering 22 speakers. It is quick to set-up and comes with three modes: movies,
sport and music. Less power and smaller size also results in a pocket-friendly
price, expected to be around £475-£500. Out soon, it has already garnered the prestigious EISA award for
Home Theatre Innovation of the Year 2005-2006.
